Not sure if they are romantically involved since the reporter has a boyfriend but there is a surprise ending. What do you think? The sweet sound of the saxophone playing of Bobby Tynes and the sassy alto of Tracy Rose had me on the dance floor shaking my tail feathers all night. A good deal for 10 bucks and Salsa upstairs for anyone who was willing! Soooo, I got a lot of sleep this winter. The last movie I watched had Jim Iyke and Nse Etim as stalker and stalkee. Naturally the name of the movie is...you guessed it! Stalker. Stalker was okay until the end when the crazy lady ends up looking like a character from the Beyonce and Idris Elba movie. Hmmm. I was fooled until that point. It was well done though and only and hour and change of my time. After all, you have to watch something now that Empire is over until the Fall. I for one will be checking out Diaspora Africa for some gear. Ha! Summer is my time to acquire African Inspired gear and express my creativity in fashion through my Nigerian roots stay tuned... 2 piece from Lea Lea's Fashions via Cote D'Avoire Posted by Banke Oluwole Reactions: Links to this post Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest Labels: Beauty, culture, events.lifestyle Dear Nollywood: We need better movies! Mercy Johnson finally appears in a movie with the suave Ramsey Noah. Now y'all know I love me some Ramsey. Sooo, I was really excited about watching Thy Will be Done. Halfway through the movie I started to get annoyed. Pastor(Ramsey) has remarried after the death of the first wife only to find out she neva die O! Mercy the current wife ain't having it! Only most of the movie shows variations of how Mercy puts her foot up Mary Remy's rear end. But, I still supported Mercy to the very end even when Pastor starts doing both wives. EWWW! Pastor steps down but his wives are tearing him apart since he lives in the same house with both of them. See for yourself...whose side are you on? P.S. Folks, okay but I hated the end. The Banker: A guy allows his father to talk him into allowing another man to test her fidelity. The whole movie is full of repeated attempts to test the girl . Really????!!! With a dumb ending to boot. Three is Company: Good idea poor development of the plot. You will be mad at yourself for watching this movie to the end. The Arrangement: What is the arrangement? What is with the Whodunnit themes lately?Arrange to avoid this film. Heart of a Sister: Good Sister vs. Bad Sister. To make matters worse bad sister keeps the guy!Grrr. Forcing a plot twist at the end does not work after two hours of watching someone suffer. We get it! the Good Sister is suffering. No need to kill us along with Good sister. Give this a Miss! Are Nigerians going crazy or is the psychotic husband/wife the new theme in town? Kalu Ikeagu in The Unkind is a psycho husband. Why is he always playing a crazy guy that needs anger management classes? Meanwhile, in Lost Pride Daniella Okeke, a psycho college student kisses some guy's knee that full of maggots for money after planning the rape of a fellow student. As you can see demonic activity meets rape and sodomy is rampant in various forms. I think sticking to the odd babalawo here and there works. Keep it simple. I want to be entertained not repelled! Go back to 2014. It seems to be the year for movies. I guess I will be watching Battabox for a while until things improve. Even Facebook is dry lately. Posted by Banke Oluwole Reactions: Links to this post Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest Labels: Movies, Nollywood Nollywood Summer Hits and Misses!!! Summer is finally here and it is hot and steamy. Parties to attend, events galore and of course movies to watch. I watch most of my movies on IROKOTV and Spring movies were mostly MISSES! You know how the movie starts out by dragging on for ever and then ends stupidly. I had to wonder what was going on. JUST when I was going to cancel things picked up. So if you use the service complain if movies are terrible, dull, mad boring or missing parts. Ah,Ah! After all,you pay for the service. The best movie I watched was IYORE featuring Rita Dominic and the super HOTtie Joseph Benjamin. The boy is gooood. He was so good I wished I was Rita Dominic. Hmmm. IYORE had passion, drama, romance and a totally unexpected satisfying ending. This is the kind of movie that leaves you wanting more. Basically a Prince wants to marry a commoner who also happens to be married to someone else. The Prince(Joseph Benjamin) toasted so well that you would throw your panties at the screen. Of course the king said."Hell No!". The did I tell you the chemistry between Rita Dominic and Joseph Benjamin was like HOT pepper sauce... Shiratcha ...Cayenne. Tastefully done, no fake phonetics. Guys if you want to get into a girls drawers. This is the one to see. Anymore will give it away! A Hit!
